Sales Executive

Primary Objectives of the Position

Responsible for the sale of software solutions to the public safety and the justice industry. The individual is responsible for sales in a defined territory. The public safety software products include: Computer Aided Dispatch and Mobile Communications, Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Fire Records Management.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage an individual sales pipeline of regional or focused opportunities.
  • Build strong customer relationships.
  • Travel and meet with clients as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with Tiburon’s Proposal Development Team and Sales Support Team.
  • Prepare and maintain client-specific sales strategy plans.
  • Document the status of sale opportunities through monthly reporting.
  • Achieve annual sales quota.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in product-based sales.
  • Public safety experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to write succinct, informative communications to clients.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to interface productively with all levels of company management and all lines of business.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public safety sales or account management experience.

  • General office environment is primarily sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: standing, sitting, walking, reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Exposure to CRT is frequent; on a daily basis. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • During periods of travel this position may require additional lifting and carrying of equipment up to fifty pounds in weight.  Aircraft and automobile traveling for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require long hours and weekend work.
