Jeffrey P. Stone
President and CEO

As President & CEO, Jeff Stone is responsible for the strategic planning and daily operations of the company. Jeff joined the company’s management team following CompuDyne’s partnership with private equity firm, The Gores Group LLC. Prior to joining Tiburon, Jeff worked with Gores evaluating potential acquisitions and working closely with portfolio company executive management to implement long-range business plans and operational and financial strategies.

Jeff cultivated both financial and operational acumen as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley and held a variety of leadership roles with General Electric. Prior to his time with GE, Jeff led business development and market expansion efforts for two successful startups, Citysearch and FutureStep.

Jeff earned his MBA at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and holds an undergraduate degree in business from the University of New Hampshire.

Ian Archbell
Vice President, Product Management

Ian Archbell, as Vice President of Product Management, is responsible for Tiburon’s product lines. Prior to Tiburon, Ian spent 14 years with Micro Focus, where he was the Vice President of the Micro Focus Product Management organization, responsible for the Micro Focus product.

Prior to Micro Focus, Ian spent more than 14 years with IBM where he held product development, product management, and product marketing leadership positions. As IBM’s UK PC Software Marketing Manager, Ian was a core member of the task force responsible for the launch of the IBM PC in the United Kingdom.

Ian has an established leadership record in both product development and marketing, as well as substantial experience in both the mainframe and PC markets. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

D. Kenneth Peters
Vice President, Sales

Ken Peters has been in the Sales Division of Tiburon for 10 years. As a sales representative he helped the company secure many key contracts and expand the client base in strategic locations. Ken spent 15 years working in public safety in a variety of policy development and executive roles. Ken is currently responsible for all new sales and account management for the company.

Jean Schommer
Director, Marketing

Jean Schommer has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the field of automated public safety systems. Jean joined Tiburon in 1996 as a senior salesperson. From sales, Jean moved into the position of Proposal and Sales Support Manager where she managed the proposal development efforts and product demonstrations. Jean was then promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In her current role, Jean manages the Marketing Team and is responsible for development of all strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for the company.

Maria Szymanek
Vice President, Finance

Maria Szymanek is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Tiburon’s financial data and reporting.  Prior to joining Tiburon, Maria held many Finance Leadership roles including CFO of a start-up company and Senior Director of Finance for several websites owned by Monster.com.  Additionally, she has worked in consulting with both Ernst and Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers improving client Finance organizations.  In New York, she worked at Credit Suisse First Boston managing global strategic projects such as the DLJ Acquisition.  Maria earned an MBA from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Terry Thompson
Vice President, Engineering

Terry Thompson joined Tiburon in 1990 and has held several key roles in the company, including Manager of Public Safety Engineering and technical team lead for the company's UNIX-based Computer Aided Dispatch System. Terry was instrumental in the design of the CAD/2000 product from its inception, and has had primary responsibility for the successful development and deployment of the product for more than 15 years. As Vice President of Engineering, Terry leads an extremely talented team responsible for product design, architecture, and development of all current and next generation products for the company. Prior to joining Tiburon, Terry was a Senior Engineer with MCI Communications.
